Meet Our Team

Dr. Jennifer Niles

Dr. Niles is a Vermont native.  She grew up on a farm in Underhill and attended MMU High School.  Following graduation from Colgate University in 2005, she worked as a dental assistant for a pediatric dentist outside Boston.  Dr. Niles graduated from University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2011 and then completed a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of North Carolina.  While in dental school, Dr. Niles was honored by her classmates to be elected Class Representative for 3 years.  She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. She also received leadership awards from the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. 

After practicing at Kenworthy Dental with Dr. Paul Kenworthy for five years, Dr. Niles took over the business in 2017.  Dr. Niles currently serves on the board of trustees for the Delta Dental Plan of Vermont. She is also a volunteer teacher at the dental assisting program at Center for Technology, Essex.  Dr. Niles is a member of the Vermont State Dental Society and enjoys collaborating with other local dentists in the Green Mountain Spear Study Club.  She gives back to community members in need by volunteering through the Donated Dental Services program.  

Dr. Niles and her husband, Greg, reside in Burlington. They welcomed their first child, Ella, in 2014 and their second child, Abby, in 2016. Dr. Niles enjoys outdoor activities with her yellow lab, Maple, such as running, hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. She also loves to travel and is always looking forward to planning their next family adventure.  

Lisa

Lisa is a native Vermonter who grew up in Fairfax and continues to reside there with her husband, Don.  After graduating from the Center for Technology – Essex dental assisting program in 1993, Lisa has spent almost her entire dental career in this office!  Over the years she has helped out in many different areas including assisting with general dentistry and sleep apnea.  Today she enjoys working mainly in the front office.  Lisa is a mother of four grown children and has seven grandchildren.  In her spare time she enjoys being outside walking with her dog, Bama, playing with her grandchildren, or working in her flower gardens.  Vacationing with her husband, especially anywhere warm with a beach, is also something she enjoys.

Erika
Expanded Function Dental Assistant

 
 

Erika was born and raised in Essex, Vermont.  She graduated from the Essex Dental Assisting Program, Center for Technology, in 2014.  She worked as a dental assistant for an office in Burlington for four years and now continues her career at Niles Smiles Dental.  While working at Niles Smiles, Erika completed an Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA) program in 2021 and is now able to place dental restorations as an EFDA.  As the youngest of seven children, Erika is very family oriented and enjoys time with her siblings and all her nieces and nephews.  In her free time she likes to be outdoors, hiking, camping, riding her UTV, or travelling to Maine to enjoy the beach.  She looks forward to meeting and forming relationships with all the Niles Smiles Dental patients!

Brooke

Brooke grew up in Essex, VT.  She graduated from Center for Technology, Essex Dental Assisting program her senior year of high school.  After high school, Brooke attended Vermont Technical College where she graduated from the Dental Hygiene program in 2017.  After gaining valuable experience working in 2 other dental offices, Brooke joined our dental team in 2021.  In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, be outdoors, bake, travel and bring her young sons to the park.  Brooke looks forward to meeting and caring for all the Niles Smiles Dental patients!

Cory joined the Niles Smiles Dental team in June 2019.  As a graduate of UVM’s Dental Hygiene program in 2002, she has enjoyed her career in dentistry for many years, and hopefully many more to come!

Cory’s childhood in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont gave her a great love of anything having to do with the outdoors and nature – from skiing to snorkeling and everything in between.  She now lives in Colchester with her husband and 2 teenage children.
